Officials from the Strategic Operations Group (Goes), together with members of the National Anti-Drug Command of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and the Bolivarian National Police Corps (Cpnb), seized 2,804.06 kilograms of marijuana in the Guincua sector of the Guajira municipality, Zulia state.
According to the information published by the Ministry of Popular Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace on its social networks, the shipment – distributed in 5,729 packages – was hidden in 107 bales buried in the area.
This seizure represents a resounding blow to drug trafficking, the result of an operation carried out under the premise of popular, military and police fusion.
Following the discovery, the national government ratified the capacity of the State security forces to articulate intelligence efforts and operational deployments, aimed at directly impacting the eradication of illicit drug trafficking in the national territory.
