To collect school supplies in Río Branco at the initiative of the Municipal Youth Space

At the initiative of the Youth Space of the Municipality of Río Branco, the aim is to collaborate with children who use food services daily before the imminent start of the 2026 school year.

A solidarity campaign is underway to collect school supplies for which donations have already begun to be received.

“We are with this campaign to collect supplies for the children of our Dining Room and Picnic Area, which consists of collecting as many supplies as possible. They only have to be in good condition, they do not necessarily have to be unused. We ask people for their collaboration in this very important cause.” manifested José Bergara.

“Everything you can give us will be welcome, whether it be pencils, pens, notebooks, pencil cases and backpacks” he detailed.

Those who have supplies can contact Bergara’s personal telephone number -092 92 33 99- or go directly to the Young Space, which remains open between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. “It is a very wide schedule so that people can go at the time that suits them best” he remarked.

“There are only a few days left until the start of classes, so as quickly as possible would be ideal to deliver this to the children. We appeal to those people who sometimes buy too many supplies, then have leftovers and in this case by donating they would help these children and young people a lot” said the person in charge of the Youth Space of the Municipality of Río Branco.

It is estimated that there would be around 60 children who would benefit from this campaign.

START OF WORKSHOPS

In the summer this area was closed, but before the start of classes it reopened and activities are already being planned for the entire year.

“This year we are going to have a similar approach to last year, with workshops and courses for young people. Also now, starting in March, free guitar classes begin and we have other projects that are well underway for 2026” Bergara said in an interview with THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL.

“In summer we always close the Space for the tourist holidays. We start now from mid-February” reported.

BETWEEN 80 AND 100 YOUNG PEOPLE PER DAY

“Taking the experience of previous years, where in the summer there were practically no attendees, we decided to cut this date, but now with the beginning of classes we always have an attendance of between 80 and 100 young people per day” estimated.

“The idea is that they have a space to be and to express themselves. In this way we are removing the gurises from the square and from places that are much more dangerous” expressed the Manager of the Youth Space, José Bergara.
