The system of Santo Domingo Metro has incorporated a new payment method through credit and debit cardswhich facilitates access for passengers and expands options compared to traditional methods.
According to the Metropolitan Transportation Companythe implementation of these new readers in the stations aims reduce queues and optimize the entry process for users of the urban transportation system.
Currently, only 11 stations have these turnstiles, as part of the first phase of the transportation integration pilot plan.
