For UDELAR races today is the last day
The doors of the Cerro Largo University House are open to receive young people who wish to enroll in careers taught at this headquarters, in the region or in the rest of the country.
The deadline unfailingly expires this midnight, so interested parties are urged not to leave the completion of the procedure to the last minute.
“Today, February 26, registration for university courses closes and therefore also here in the northeast region at the University Centers of Tacuarembó and Rivera and at the Casa de Cerro Largo” remembered the Mr. Mauricio De Souza.
“In addition to our own careers, such as the Technologist in Integrated Agricultural Production Systems, the Technologist in Equine Production, which is shared with UTU and the classes are taught at the Educational Pole, the registrations are made by the CUCEL and UDELAR Bedelía, also the Social CIO, and, in addition, we support any other university career in Montevideo or any other region, whether in the east or the north.” remarked the Director of CUCEL.
“In the east we have many students who are signing up for the Technologist in Administration and Accounting for Treinta y Tres” revealed. “In that sense we have made a lot of progress, to the point that students can take midterms and exams here at the House” he remembered.
“All those students who want to sign up for a university degree, who have any questions or whatever, can come to CUCEL and we will gladly give them a hand” he assured.
De Souza asked to take into account having a current or pending health card, a current Identity Card, a passport-type photo and the Digital Identity that can be processed at ANTEL or in the Collection Networks.
There are careers that allow registration with previous High School subjects and others do not. “In the case of those issued from the House, they can be noted with one prior in some and with two priors in another, conditional on approving them in the next April period” reported.
VISIT OF THE DEAN OF ECONOMIC SCIENCES
A few days ago, the Dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Professor Jorge Xavier, visited the CUCEL Headquarters.
“He came as a farewell because he is coming to the end of his deanship, which can be two periods of 4 years each, and he is also retiring. That is why he toured the different locations in the interior where there is the Faculty of Economic Sciences. He has established relationships and we have made progress on some issues. He had that gesture of coming to greet us here in person at the Casa de Cerro Largo and then continuing to other locations.” he counted.
“This makes the decentralization policy closer, bringing those Academic Reference services that are to Montevideo. These days it is common to have a visit from the Dean of Economics or the Dean of Veterinary Medicine. That which was not so frequent before, thanks to the regionalization policy, we have a much more direct link with the services or with the Faculties of Montevideo” highlighted Mauricio De Souza.
EXPECTATION OF GOOD ENROLLMENTS
“The Technologist in Equine Production has always had a very good enrollment and a very good interest and the Technician in Integrated Agricultural Production Systems is also increasing” he stated.
“They are courses that attract students from all over the national territory. In addition to Cerro Largo and the neighboring departments, they come from other parts of the country: we have students from the coast and from Montevideo” projection.
“In addition to having good enrollment, they are courses that capture the attention of students from all over Uruguay. This also has other positive connotations in terms of the real estate market. Slowly some other chains are beginning to move at the local level” highlighted Mr. Mauricio De Souza.
