He Public Ministry reported this Wednesday on the capture of a man sentenced to six years in prison by a court in the judicial district of San Cristóbal, after being found guilty of causing the death of another in an event that occurred in 2023.
It is about Bruno Lorenzo Carmonaalias Wilkin, who was arrested in that province to execute against him the final sentence that condemns him for causing the death, due to gunshot wounds, of Braulio Encarnación Terrero.
The court order of capture and arrest was carried out by the Capture of Fugitives, Rebels and Condemned (Ucaprec), headed by the prosecutor Andry Delos Santos. The order was issued by the interim judge Miolany Herasme Morilloof the First Room of the Sentence Execution Court of the Judicial Department of San Cristóbal.
After his arrest, Lorenzo Carmona was presented before the aforementioned court for referral to the Correction Center and Najayo Men Rehabilitation (CCR), where he will serve the sentence imposed.

After the event, the accused was brought to justice on May 30, 2023, accused of violating articles 295 and 304 of the Dominican Penal Codeas well as articles 66 and 67 of Law 631-16 on Weapons, Ammunition and Related Materials.
In the judicial process, the Collegiate Court of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the Judicial District of San Cristóbal issued on January 23, 2025 the criminal sentence number 301-03-2025-SSEN-00008, which sentenced him to six years in prison.
Subsequently, the First Room of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal of the Judicial Department of San Cristóbal, through ruling 1571-2025-SPEN-00243, of October 29, 2025, confirmed the first instance decision after rejecting the appeal filed by the defense. The secretariat of that court also certified that no appeal was filed against said sentence, leaving the sentence definitively final.
