Santo Domingo.– The National Convergence against Social Security Theft and the Primero Justicia Foundation filed an accusation with the Attorney General’s Office against Mario Lamaformer director of National Health Service (SNS)and the businessman José Joaquín Toribio Senciónwhom they point out as part of an alleged scheme that would have caused the expenditure of RD$13,000 million for alleged home dialysis services.

They also claim that a structure of foreign companies and trusts would have been used to hide the final beneficiary of the resources.
Hiring under exclusivity modality
According to the complaint, the scheme began in October 2020, targeting around 990 people, under the exclusivity contract modality. According to the above, this allowed the hiring of the companies Macrotech Farmacéutica, SRL and Centro Integral de Medicina Renal (CIMER), SAS.

The complaining entities claim that the annual cost per dialyzed patient amounted to RD$3,000,000, a figure that they describe as much higher than the standard price in the country.
