Six samba schools rehearse in Sapucaí this weekend

Avenida Marquês de Sapucaí will have today (19) and tomorrow (20) the second weekend of technical rehearsals for samba schools in Rio de Janeiro. Six samba schools rehearse in Sapucaí this weekend

This Saturday, starting at 7 pm, three schools from the Gold Series, formerly known as Grupo de Acesso, will perform. They are Unidos da Ponte, Acadêmicos do Cubango and Império da Tijuca.

Tomorrow, three from the Special Group will parade: Paraíso do Tuiuti, Vila Isabel and Mangueira.

The schedule of the Grupo Especial parades was brought forward to 8 pm, in agreement between the Independent League of Samba Schools (Liesa), the city hall of Rio and the MetrôRio concessionaire, which will extend the opening hours of the Central stations until midnight. do Brasil and Praça Onze, the closest to the Sambadrome. The last parade is scheduled to end at 11:30 pm.

The agreement is also valid for the next three Sundays, when six schools of the Special Group will pass through Sapucaí: Unidos da Tijuca, Beija-Flor, Salgueiro, Mocidade, Grande Rio and Viradouro.

Last week, the sambadrome in Rio received, on Saturday (12), the clubs Em Cima da Hora, Império Serrano and Lins Imperial, and, on Sunday (13), Imperatriz Leopoldinense, São Clemente and Portela.
