After an intense chase that lasted four days, commissions from the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) managed to capture a man nicknamed “Erick”, in the Palavecino municipality of Lara state.
The man was actively wanted after having stripped a police officer of her organic weapon, during a procedure carried out last week in the Agua Viva sector.
The subject initially managed to flee the scene; For this reason, a security deployment was carried out that reached the border areas with the states of Portuguesa and Yaracuy.
During the operation, the police officers also managed to recover the service weapon that belonged to the State.
The incident occurred at the time when the official was trying to arrest the suspect for previously committed crimes.
The detainee was transferred to the police headquarters and the case was placed under the jurisdiction of the Public Ministry. This capture is the result of coordination between the competent authorities to neutralize individuals who threaten public order.
