The Minas Gerais Fire Department reported on Tuesday night (24) that the number of deaths in the floods and landslides caused by the rains in Juiz de Fora and Ubá, in Minas Gerais, rose to 30. 
According to the corporation, 39 people are missing and 208 were rescued alive.
In total, 134 soldiers work on rescues in the municipalities.

According to data from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), From Wednesday (25th), the advance of a new cold front could cause more intense raininitially in Zona da Mata and South/Southwest of Minas.
Given the already waterlogged soil, the institute’s recommendation is to pay extra attention to the risk of flooding, floods and landslides, especially in vulnerable areas.
