Impact of the work
Line 2C is a 7.3 kilometer extension that will have five seasons strategically located to improve access and mobility in one of the most congested areas of Greater Santo Domingo.
The project will impact more than a million inhabitants and will directly benefit more than 14 communitiesconsiderably reducing traffic on the Duarte Highway and facilitating the connection with the María Montez station.
The work not only includes the elevated viaduct and the stations. It also includes the construction of a adjacent marginal road and the adaptation of the surrounding roads, with the aim of improving connectivity and vehicular flow from Los Alcarrizos to kilometer 9.
