After several hours of anguish, uncertainty and an intense search by her relatives and the authorities, Diana Ospina, the 35-year-old woman who had disappeared in Chapinero, appeared alive.
The case generated commotion in Bogotá, not only due to the circumstances of his disappearance, but also due to the complaints of alleged “millionaire ride”, extortion and withdrawals of money from his bank accounts.
Below is the complete chronology of what happened.
Last time she was seen
It all started in the early hours of Sunday, when Diana was at Teatrón, a renowned nightlife establishment in Chapinero.
According to the security camera videos delivered by the place to the authorities and GAULA, around 12:44 am Diana left the establishment in the company of a friend. She was wearing light jeans, a black blouse and a colorful jacket.
They both walked towards Carrera 13, where a private vehicle picked up their friend. Diana was left alone, checking her cell phone, apparently requesting a transportation service.
Minutes later she was captured by cameras again, walking alone in the area.

The taxi and the last message
According to the story of her niece, Estefanía Costa, Diana sent an audio to one of her friends stating that she was five minutes away from arriving home.
At that moment, his voice would have broken and he decided to send a photograph of the license plates of the vehicle in which he was traveling. That was the last direct communication they had with her.
Later, when checking his personal computer, the family found that the photograph of the license plates had been deleted from his WhatsApp account, which increased suspicions of a possible criminal act.
Extortion calls and money withdrawals
After filing a missing person report, the family began to receive extortion calls.
In one of them, they demanded 10 million pesos to supposedly free her. The family claimed to have deposited 2 and a half million, but Diana was not handed over.
At the same time, unusual movements were recorded in their bank accounts. According to their relatives, close to 40 million pesos were withdrawn from one Davivienda account and between 3 and 4 million from another, from the Bank of Colombia.
Diana Ospino appeared this Monday
After almost two days marked by worry and uncertainty, the young Diana Ospina was found alive on the night of Monday, February 23. The woman had been reported missing since early Sunday morning, when she was last seen leaving the Theatron nightclub.
Diana was located on the road that connects the capital with the municipality of Choachí, in a forested area.
The mayor of Bogotá, Carlos Fernando Galán, confirmed the news through his X account, where he reported that the young woman arrived at the CAI Mirador on her own and that the Metropolitan Police immediately transferred her to reunite with her family.
The president also assured that the investigation is progressing to capture those responsible for the kidnapping and theft, and that they will soon be brought to justice.
According to preliminary versions, Diana would have boarded a taxi to go to her home in the Santa María del Lago neighborhood, in the town of Engativá. However, upon reaching that sector, she was allegedly intercepted by several men who were traveling in another public service vehicle.
The authorities are investigating whether the young woman was a victim of the criminal modality known as “millionaire walk”, in which criminals hold the person to strip them of their belongings and force them to make money withdrawals.
