Tribute to Mindoca Pirez proposed by Ignacio Rodríguez in the Board
When speaking in the Half Hour Preview of the first Plenary Session of the Departmental Legislature of this year 2026, the Mayor of the Frente Amplio had words of recognition towards the Los del Medio Duo for having won the contest at the Peach Festival in its category and also requested to pay tribute to one of the most prestigious cyclists in the department.

“I also want to take advantage of this space to send my congratulations and greetings to the Cerro Larguense members of the duo Los del Medio, first prize in their category at the Peach Festival, contributing once again to the blue and white culture. “We believe that this Departmental Legislature has a very good tool when it recognizes different people for their outstanding performances in our society” pointed out the Mayor of the Frente Amplio Bench.

The opposition Mayor requested that his words be submitted to the Tourism, Youth and Sports Commission of the Board itself to analyze the viability of making this recognition.
