The driver of a taxi that provides online service ended up seriously injured after being stabbed by a subject who stole his vehicle, after requesting his services.
The information was released by the director of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps, Douglas Rico, through his account on the social network Instagram.
The official explained that agents from the Vehicle Theft Investigations Division arrested Yonleiker Samuel López Ruiz, 19 years old, after verifying his responsibility in the assault that occurred in the Libertador municipality of Caracas.
The capture occurred at kilometer 4 of the old El Junquito highway, specifically in the Colonia Verde sector where the police commissions managed to track down the suspect.
According to the official Cicpc report, the detainee used the Yango platform to request transfer services and once the drivers reached the destination, he attacked them with a knife to strip them of their belongings.
In this last incident, the aggressor inflicted multiple injuries on the taxi driver without saying a word and left him badly injured at the scene; Later, he fled with the vehicle and the personal belongings of the worker, who was carrying out his usual duties in the El Junquito parish.
During the arrest, officers managed to collect fundamental elements that directly link the young man to the criminal act. Among the evidence, a Kia vehicle, Sephia model, stands out, as well as the cell phone from which contact was made with the victim and the knife used for the attack, thus allowing the case to be sent to the Public Ministry to continue its process.
