Santiago Rodríguez. – The president Luis Abinader highlighted the importance of young people taking advantage of the scholarships offered by the Government through Your Future Scholarshipboth nationally and internationally, during a meeting with students of public high schools and private schools at the Liceo José María Serra.
During the meeting, the president also indicated that master english and have access to digital tools strengthens education, encourages creativity and critical thinking, and prepares young people for a labor market increasingly competitive and globalized.
In this sense, the head of Government valued the installation of a Google digital hub in the countrywhich will contribute to the technological innovation and will generate specialized jobs. Furthermore, he highlighted the transformation and strengthening of educational infrastructuretechnological and sports, including school roofsdining rooms, computer laboratories and the conversion of high schools into polytechnicswith the aim of preparing students for the academic and professional challenges of the 21st century.
In that order, he highlighted specific works in Villa Los Almacigossuch as the construction of the high school in La Ginita, Caipi, the remodeling of the local hospital and Infotep centers.
He also expressed the intention of transforming the art high school into a specialized polytechnic, highlighting the importance of the artistic and musical sector for youth employment.
In the activity, the president also stressed the relevance of the Moral and Civics subjectas well as integrity and honesty as fundamental pillars for professional life and living in community.
