Santiago Rodríguez.– President Luis Abinader affirmed that the installation of a Google digital hub in the Dominican Republic will promote education, technological innovation and the creation of specialized jobs, especially aimed at youth.
During a meeting with students from public high schools and private centers at the José María Serra High School, the president explained that access to digital tools will allow strengthening the critical thinkingcreativity and the skills necessary for an increasingly competitive and globalized.
The head of state urged young people to take advantage of the opportunities of the program Your Future Scholarship and emphasized the importance of learning Englishpointing out that mastery of this language expands academic and professional opportunities in the international arena.
Strengthening educational and technological infrastructure
The president indicated that his administration continues to strengthen the educational and technological infrastructuresthrough the construction of school roofs, expansion of dining rooms, installation of computer laboratories and the conversion of high schools into polytechnicswith the purpose of guaranteeing adequate spaces for learning and the development of student talent.

He also mentioned projects in Villa Los Almácigos, such as the construction of the high school in La Ginita, a Comprehensive Early Childhood Care Center (Caipi), the remodeling of the municipal hospital and INFOTEP centers. Likewise, he expressed the intention to transform the art high school into a specialized polytechnic, highlighting the potential of the sector artistic and musical as a source of youth employment.

During the meeting, the president highlighted the importance of the subject of Moral and Civicas well as the values of integrity, honesty and respectful coexistence as fundamental pillars for professional life and social cohesion.

Students valued access to technology as a key tool for your academic and professional development. They noted that technological education expands opportunities for personal growth, encourages innovation and contributes to the development of the country.
Likewise, they agreed that national progress requires the joint effort of society and the State, and expressed their willingness to take advantage of new digital tools to contribute to the future of the Dominican Republic.
