Lucas Piccinato was fired from his position as coach of the Corinthians women’s football team. The announcement was made by Timão’s press office, in the early hours of this Saturday (21), hours after Brabas do Timão drew 2-2 with Fluminense, in the Itaquera arena, in a game in the second round of the first phase of Series A1 of the Brazilian Championship.
Piccinato took charge of Corinthians in December 2023, after Arthur Elias left for the Brazilian team. Under Piccinato’s command, Brabas do Timão won two Brazilian Championships, two Women’s Libertadores and one Women’s Super Cup.
In addition to Piccinato, assistant Brenno Basso, goalkeeper trainer Francisco Rodrigues and physical trainer Luiz Guilherme Gonçalves leave the Corinthians women’s team.
