The president of the National Association of Federal Revenue Auditors (Unafisco), Kleber Cabral, gave a statement this Friday (20) to the Federal Police (PF).
Cabral was heard as an investigator in the Inquiry of Fake Newsopened by the Court in 2019 and still ongoing.
The hearing lasted around an hour and was held via videoconference on Friday afternoon (20). The content of the testimony is confidential.
The statement was determined by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), after Cabral gave interviews to the press to criticize the PF operation which, last Tuesday (17), carried out searches and seizures against civil servants accused of illegally accessing information from Court ministers and their relatives.
Investigation
As determined by Moraes, rapporteur of the case, the civil servants investigated must comply with several precautionary measures, such as monitoring by electronic ankle bracelet, removal from public service, cancellation of passports and ban on leaving the country.
In a note released after the operation, the Federal Revenue Service clarified that the search operations carried out by the Federal Police were based on information provided by the agency itself.
