Their contribution was small in quantity, but enormous in significance during the solidarity day in the capital of Huila.

News Colombia.

In the middle of a day of donation of school supplies held in the Plaza de Banderas of the Government of Huila, an unexpected scene moved the attendees. While hundreds of people handed out notebooks, colors and other supplies to support low-income children, a street vendor approached with a contribution that, although small in quantity, was enormous in meaning.

The man carried a notebook and three pencils in his hands. It was what I could give. Without speeches or prominence, he gave his contribution to the organizers of the solidarity day in the capital of Huila.

His action generated a profound impact. Some organizers could not contain their tears at the gesture. For them, that moment reflected the true spirit of the activity: sharing from the heart, even when you have little.

The event sought to collect school supplies to support students facing economic difficulties. However, the street vendor’s act became the symbol of the day.

Beyond the number of notebooks gathered, the scene reminded that solidarity does not depend on resources, but on the will to help. In the midst of daily routine and worries, a humble gesture managed to unite everyone in the same feeling.
