Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), ordered that the president of the National Association of Federal Revenue Auditors (Unafisco), Kleber Cabral, be notified to provide clarifications within the scope of the investigation into illegal access to data of Court ministers and their relatives.
The procedure was carried out confidentially and occurred after Cabral gave interviews to the press criticizing the Federal Police operation (PF) who, last Tuesday (17), carried out searches and seizures against servers accused of carrying out illegal access.
Due to the secrecy of the case, it is not possible to know whether the request for clarification is related to the investigation or to Cabral’s statements to the press.
As determined by Moraes, the civil servants under investigation must comply with several precautionary measures, such as monitoring by electronic ankle bracelet, removal from public service, cancellation of passports and ban on leaving the country.
In a note released after the operation, the Federal Revenue Service clarified that the search operations carried out by the Federal Police were based on information provided by the agency itself.
