The residence of the senator for San Juan and leader of the People’s Force, Felix Bautistawas attacked early this Thursday by a group of armed men, in an incident that the legislator attributed to the common crime.
The congressman explained that he learned about the incident around 6:00 in the morningafter receiving a call from General De los Santos, who informed him that the soldier of the Dominican Republic Navy (ARD) in charge of guarding the home was subdued by the intruders. According to the report, the agent was tied hands and feetwhile one of the assailants held him at gunpoint and others entered inside.
Preliminary information indicates that between four and five men They participated in the assault. To enter, they violated a blind and, after neutralizing the security, stripped him of his regulation weapon and approximately RD$1,700 in cash.
Inside the home, the criminals searched rooms, drawers and closets looking for money or valuables, causing disorder and damage.

Félix Bautista pointed out that, according to the initial verification carried out by his team, the assailants did not find cash and, so far, only the theft of a speaker or sound equipment located in the room has been confirmed, although other belongings remain in inventory.
A close source indicated that the assailants demanded money from the security agent, which reinforces the hypothesis that they were looking for cash or luxury items. However, the senator ruled out that it was an attack directed against him.
After the fact, units of the National Police and of the Scientific Police They went to the residence to collect evidence, collect fingerprints and review surveillance cameras in the area, while security personnel were questioned to identify those responsible. So far, authorities have not offered a detailed official report on the case.
