Given the political instability generated by a new change in the presidencymicro and small businesses (mypes), through their unions, sent a statement demanding greater responsibility and analysis at the time of the election.
“The mype unions, concerned when observing the nomination of four congressmen for the presidency of Congress and for constitutional succession to the presidency of the Republic, demand the greatest responsibility and analysis on the part of the 130 legislators when voting,” they stated.
In that sense, they pointed out that someone with experience, a democratic disposition and with a behavior committed to the development of the country and the growth of micro and small businesses should be chosen. In addition, they considered that this person must provide security of clean elections.
“Let it be someone who has enough experience to take us until July 28 with the firmness to fight crime and give a greater boost to the country’s economic recovery,” they stated in the statement that was signed by Mypes Unidas del Perú, Peruvian Association of Beauty Companies, Peruvian Chamber of Micro and Small Exporters and the Peruvian Association of Beauty Companies.

For his part, the executive director of ComexPerú, Jaime Dupuy, pointed out that the person chosen must be clear about what his role will be in these few months that he will have in office. On the one hand, he pointed out that it must guarantee transparent elections and on the other hand, stability,
“We believe that there are things in which we cannot go back. For example, in the case of Petroperú progress has been made (with a reform approved by emergency decree) and we believe that this should continue,” he commented to Peru21.
Likewise, he highlighted that, despite the political instability that exists in the country, the economy continues to grow. However, he warned that these situations may have some impact on the confidence of national and international investors.
