A 43-year-old farmer lost her life after the blade of a motorized macheter fell off violently while she was working on agricultural land in the town center of Unión, in the district of Río Tambo.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, when the equipment was being manipulated by a 22-year-old young man. For reasons that are the subject of investigation, the blade was projected and hit the woman, causing a fatal wound in the chest area.
Despite attempts to help her, the worker died at the scene due to the severity of the injury. Police officers arrived at the area to remove the body and arranged for its transfer to the morgue for the legal autopsy.
