Within the framework of Ash Wednesday, Bishop Jesús Castro Marte exhorted the faithful to cultivate spiritual life during Lent, a time that he described as a privileged opportunity for reflection and getting closer to God.
The prelate highlighted that this liturgical period invites prayer, penance and renewal of faith, encouraging the Catholic community to take advantage of it to grow spiritually and strengthen its commitment to Christian values.
“Lent is a privileged time to cultivate spiritual life,” said Castro Marte, underlining the importance of living this period with awareness and devotion.
