Congresswoman Ana Zegarra (Somos Perú) presented a point of order so that the motion of censure against President José Jerí not be voted on. The parliamentarian assured that Jerí’s censure was not a correct procedure and it was appropriate to vote vacancy as such. This generated the rejection of several congressmen, such as Ruth Luque who spoke out against this procedure.
