Create Qik Credit promotes financial inclusion of almost 30 thousand Dominicans

Qik Banco Digital Dominicano, S. A. – Banco Múltiple, a subsidiary of Grupo Popular and the country’s first neobank, reported that Crea Crédito, a pioneering financial inclusion and education program, already reaches more than 29,900 people, who have begun to develop their formal credit history while learning to manage their personal finances responsibly and creating the habit of saving.

Of that total, more than 8,000 users have successfully completed the program, meeting their financial commitments and releasing the required initial guarantee. This has allowed them to access financial products under better conditions, fully integrating into the formal banking system.

“Crea Crédito, the only 100% digital financial inclusion program in the country, has become a real opportunity for thousands of Dominicans who previously could not access formal credit. Today, they find here a path to advance. Our commitment is to continue growing alongside them, promoting their goals and contributing to the well-being of their families,” said Arturo Grullón, executive vice president and general manager of Qik.

Diverse participation and inclusive approach

The first neobank highlighted that the program has a balanced representation between men and women, which demonstrates the constant effort made to promote financial inclusion equally in both genders. This achievement reflects the program’s commitment to offering real and accessible opportunities for all people, regardless of their condition.

The program has beneficiaries residing in all provinces of the country and has an average age of 32 years, which demonstrates its reach among young adults seeking to build a solid and early relationship with the financial system.

Crea Crédito works through a credit card backed by collateral, linked to a savings account that generates interest, while the client builds their credit history. In addition, the program offers personalized guidance and digital financial education tools, in order to promote responsible use of credit and encourage healthy financial habits.

Through this program, Qik Banco Digital reaffirms its mission to democratize credit in the country, using technology to eliminate traditional barriers and offer financial products accessible from the Qik app, available in the App Store, Google Play and on its portal https://qik.do
