Executive formalizes new appointments in Services and Foreign Trade

In Official Gazette Law in Defense of the Homeland

The National Executive made official in Gaceta the appointment of citizen Fred Ángelo Bruno as Manager of the Human Resources Office of INAC, as well as a new board of directors of Hidroven. Likewise, the new CANTV Divestment Commission of Public Assets and Major General Ángel Daniel Balestrini Jaramillo were appointed as General Director of the Office of the Ministry of Popular Power for Defense, to sign documents related to their functions.

Strategic appointments in Foreign Trade

The National Executive made official a series of key appointments within the Ministry of Foreign Trade to strengthen the national economy. Through Presidential Decree No. 5,245, published in the Extraordinary Official Gazette No. 6,984 dated February 9, 2026, Andreína Tarazón Bolívar assumes the position of Vice Minister of International Trade Policy. This decision seeks to optimize Venezuela’s insertion into global markets through a high-level technical and diplomatic strategy.

The official also assumes the presidency of the Marca País Institute Foundation as manager, as stipulated by current regulations. This duality of functions allows the national identity to be centralized with the operation of foreign trade policy. In this way, the Venezuela Country Brand will function as the main banner in each international agreement and convention that the State signs during this year.

Boost to exports and national production

The presidential decree also establishes significant changes in critical areas for earning foreign currency. Johann Carlos Álvarez Márquez assumes the position of Vice Minister of Export Promotion, a determining role in the current economic scheme. Álvarez Márquez will design the incentives and logistical routes necessary for the productive sector, both public and private, to place their products abroad in an efficient and competitive manner.

The coordinated work between the vice ministries of Trade Policy and Export Promotion forms a structure designed to diversify national income. This new institutional organization aims to reduce dependence on traditional income through direct support to producers. The management of both officials will guarantee that Venezuelan goods reach new horizons supported by tariff policies that favor domestic production.

Operational strengthening of the Export Agency

To complete this work team, Official Gazette No. 6,984 appointed Coromoto Godoy Calderón as president of the SA Export Promotion Agency. The official will exercise this position as manager, leading the executing arm that provides technical advice and market intelligence. This agency functions as the fundamental assigned entity for the financial and logistical support of exporters throughout the national territory.

Godoy Calderón’s experience will be decisive in streamlining the certification and quality processes currently required by international markets. With these appointments, the Bolivarian Government activates a cohesive institutional machinery that unites diplomacy and technical promotion. The ultimate objective of these designations aims to consolidate economic prosperity through robust and sustainable commercial exchange.
