The federal government delivered this Friday (18), in Rio Branco, a new batch of land titles for families of farmers who live in agrarian reform settlements in the state of Acre. The event was attended by President Jair Bolsonaro, politicians and local authorities.
According to the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra), since 2019, more than 320,000 families living in settlements have had their lots titled.
The number is now 326,000 regularized families with titles throughout the Brazilian territory, and that in three years, said the president of the municipality, Geraldo Melo Filho.
In all, there are about 1 million families installed in more than 9 thousand settlements in the country.
“More than a piece of paper, [é] the guarantee [de] that this piece of land belongs to you”, said President Bolsonaro during the event.
