Santo Domingo. -Only eight days from the formal delivery of the Los Alcarrizos Metroresidents in the sector maintain high expectations in the project that promises to transform mobility and reduce traffic chaos that prevails in the area and that affects thousands of citizens daily.
“I wish they had opened it sooner”exclaimed excited housewife Heriberta Arias, about the recent announcement of the start of operations of line 2C of the Santo Domingo Metro, which connects kilometer 9 with Los Alcarrizos on February 24.

The construction of line 2C It began with the first palazo in February 2022, with the extension from the Maria Montez station to Los Alcarrizos. Since then, the community has closely followed the progress of the project due to the change it represents in the transportation system.
The work, which will benefit more than a million people in Los Alcarrizos and Santo Domingo Westconnecting them with the National District through five new stations on an approximate route of 7.3 kilometers, had other delivery dates planned.
