Delcy Rodríguez, in charge of the Executive, ordered the liquidation of six social missions during a reorganization of the Presidential Office and the New Frontier of Peace mission was transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “The suppression and liquidation of the following attached entities and deconcentrated bodies of the Ministry of the Office of the Presidency and Monitoring of Government Management is ordered,” the document says.

The Robert Serra Youth of the Homeland Foundationcreated in December 2016, was responsible for “guaranteeing” the comprehensive development of adolescents and young people. Its ultimate goal was to link youth with the structures of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).
The Presidential Office of Special Plans and Projects Foundation (Opppe) It is responsible for designing, planning and executing special plans and projects of the Presidency, especially in terms of housing, habitat and urban works linked to social emergency situations, such as, rainwater victims and other so-called “strategic” projects.
Propatria 2000: It was an entity that carried out infrastructure works and social projects “to improve physical spaces in communities.” It was mainly responsible for financing small works such as repairing roads and streets.
The Bolivarian Revolutionary Movement Foundation of the Active Reserve General in Chief Félix Antonio Velásquez It articulated the active reserve in socio-productive tasks and civil-military support. Its objective was in agri-food, pharmaceutical, industrial, commercial areas, among others.
He Strategic Center for Security and Protection of the Homeland (Cesppa): This body’s objective was to “unify the information flow” on sensitive aspects of security, defense, intelligence, internal order and foreign relations to “help” the president in decision-making and neutralize potential threats.
José Félix Ribas Foundation (Fundaribas): It was an institution in charge of the prevention of drug use and rehabilitation treatments for people with addictions; However, the functions of this organization had passed into the hands of the Hipólita Black Mission.
On the other hand, the New Frontier of Peace missionwhich was transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, created in 2015 to intervene on the border, reinforce security and improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of this area. The idea is to protect the population that lives on the borders from paranilitarianism, drug trafficking, kidnapping, smuggling and other threats.
La Gaceta stated that these changes are made to fulfill the purposes of the State, to seek “the satisfaction of collective interests” and with the aim of “achieving the greatest amount of happiness possible.”
Delcy Rodríguez has been in charge of the Executive since the US military forces captured Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, on January 3.
