The reinforcements hired for the season were decisive for Red Bull Bragantino to debut with victory in Series A1 (first division) of the Brazilian Women’s Football Championship. This Sunday (15), Massa Bruta defeated Ferroviária 2-0 at the club’s Performance & Development Center (CPD), in Atibaia (SP).
In the 20th minute of the first half, midfielder Duda Rodrigues, ex-Flamengo, crossed from the left for Lurdinha. The former Fluminense player shared it with goalkeeper Amanda Coimbra and the ball was left for striker Miriã, who came from Cruzeiro, to send into the net. In the final stage, at 12, midfielder Rafa Mineira, who defended Internacional, received the ball at the edge of the area and finished in the corner, with no chance of defense. The Guerreiras Grenás, two-time national champions, sought a reaction, without success.
Seven first round games have already been played. THE TV Brasil broadcast Flamengo’s 1-0 victory over Mixto at Dutrinha, in Cuiabá, last Thursday (12); and Palmeiras beat América-MG, 4-0, at Arena Crefisa, in Barueri (SP), on Friday (13).
