Through the official networks of the Department of Foreign Assistance, It was reported that although the United States is proud to provide assistance to Venezuela, it will come at a cost to the country.
Venezuela will pay for medical aid from the United States
According to what was stated by the US authorities, Venezuela will reimburse the cost of more than 6,000 kilos of priority medical supplies.
“The United States is proud to facilitate the acquisition and delivery of medical supplies to the Venezuelan people, but this effort is not just about charity. Venezuela’s interim authorities have agreed to reimburse the United States for the cost of these and any future deliveries“, they stated in X.
It is worth remembering that the State Department announced the shipment by air of the first 25 pallets with medical supplies for Venezuela. This is part of the Donald Trump Administration’s three-phase plan for the stabilization, recovery and transition of Venezuela.
This would be the first shipment to increase medical supplies in Venezuela. This action seeks to promote the transition towards a “stable, prosperous and democratic” Venezuela, said Deputy State Spokesperson Tommy Pigott in a statement.
“The United States continues to work with Venezuela’s interim authorities to execute our three-phase plan to support Venezuela’s economic recovery and political reconciliation,” they noted.
