The National Immigration Superintendency reported that starting Monday the 16th it will officially implement the biometric control system at the Tacna Border Control Post, which will operate 24 hours a day.
The measure seeks reinforce security and order entry into the country on the southern border.
According to the entity, The new system will allow secure and modern identity verification, with protection of the information in accordance with current regulations.
The implementation takes place after a “white-water” period, during which technical adjustments were made to optimize service and improve the user experience.
Migrations reaffirmed its commitment to providing an efficient, respectful and transparent service, and indicated that will maintain permanent monitoring of the operation of the biometric system on the border with Chile.
With this technological tool, the institution aims to strengthen the cimmigration controls, prevent possible irregularities and expedite the flow of travelers who transit daily through one of the most dynamic border crossings in the country.
