Santo Domingo.-The Dominican Institute of Meteorology issued meteorological alert levels for nine provinces, due to the risk of urban flooding and sudden flooding of rivers, streams and ravines.
The alerts apply to Espaillat, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Hato Mayor, Duarte, El Seibo, Puerto Plata, La Altagracia and Hermanas Mirabal.
The forecast center reported that, although the cold front will begin to move away and a drier and more stable air mass will establish itself over the country, weak and passing rains are still expected.

He indicated that these precipitations will occur mainly in locations near the Atlantic coast, the Cibao valley and the Central mountain range, both during the day and at night.
The entity pointed out that for tomorrow, Monday, the approach of a trough is expected, so weak and isolated rains are likely in the morning hours, especially towards the eastern region of the national territory.
