17 people released from Zone 7 checkpoint

The president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez, reported on the release of 17 people who were held in the Detainee Control and Protection Center, administered by the Bolivarian National Police, located in Boleíta, Sucre municipality (Miranda); also known as Zone 7.

Rodríguez disseminated the information through his social networks from where he explained that such a measure was agreed upon within the framework of the Amnesty Law.

“Let us continue this route to build a democratic coexistence between brothers. All united for peace!” wrote Rodríguez at 12:30 am on Saturday, February 14.

The head of the Legislative Branch accompanied the letter with a series of photographs from his visit on February 6 to the vicinity of the aforementioned police establishment. Rodríguez was accompanied by Congressman Jorge Arreaza, president of the Special Commission of the Amnesty Law Project.

The second discussion of the aforementioned bill began last Thursday when the plenary session of the AN unanimously approved six articles read by the secretary.
