The National Police of Peru carried out two actions against alleged organizations linked to extortion in the province of Santa, in the Áncash region.
In the first operation, the gang called “Los Lobos del Sur” was dismantled, accused of demanding payments from local businessmen and businesses.
The intervention was carried out in a building in the Tres de Octubre expansion, in Nuevo Chimbote, after intelligence work. At the scene, a pistol, containers with ammunition and narcotics were seized, as well as a vehicle that remained in the front of the property.
Bryan Jeanpierre Ávila López (28), Yeriko Samir Flores Velayarce (24), Jhojan Eduardo Oyola Huamán (35), Jhonatan Raúl Ávila López (21), Jeferson Alexander Cabrejos Chimoy (26) and a 16-year-old adolescent were arrested, investigated for alleged crimes such as a criminal gang, illicit drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.
In a second intervention, agents arrested Hernán José Medina Gonzales (27) and Rossany Andreida Arcay Rojas (30), both of Venezuelan nationality, after a complaint from a merchant who reported the detonation of an explosive in his home in the young town of Miraflores Alto, in Chimbote.
