Central Bank reports from February 17, 2026, RD$1000 bills will circulate in 2025

He Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) reported that, as of Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the circulation of the tickets of RD$1,000.00 year 2025.

“These bills, whose manufacturing was ordered through international public bidding in May 2025, contain the same security features of banknotes. RD$1,000.00 currently in circulation, which will maintain their liberating force for the payment of all public and private obligations,” the entity stated.

Characteristics

The ticket will begin to circulate from February 17.

These banknotes are issued pursuant to the provisions contained in Articles 228, 229 and 230 of the Constitution of the Dominican Republic and Article 25, literals a) and c) of the Monetary and Financial Law No. 183-02, indicated the Central Bank.
