COE expands the provinces on green alert due to low water to six

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) expanded this Friday to six the provinces on green alert due to a vgouache associated with a frontal systemwhich will continue to generate cloudy concentrations tonight, causing scattered moderate to heavy downpours at times, with possible thunderstorms and occasional gusts of wind.

The provinces on alert are: Espaillat, Duarte, Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Mirabal Sisters, Puerto Plata and San Pedro de Macoris.

These weather conditions will be especially affecting locations in the northern, northeastern, Cibao Valley, eastern and Central mountain range regions.

In this sense, people are recommended to refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have high volumes of water, and not to use spas in the provinces under alert.

The entity released this information through the bulletin issued by the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET).

National District: occasional cloudy increases.
Santo Domingo North: occasional cloudy increases with isolated showers.
Santo Domingo East: occasional cloudy increases.
Santo Domingo West: occasional cloudy increases.

Temperatures: minimums between 18 °C and 20 °C and maximums between 27 °C and 29 °C.
