The deterioration of some sections of avenues, streets of the National District and municipalities of the Santo Domingo province generate accidentstraffic jams and difficulties in traveling safely, a situation that worries drivers.
One of those places is the intersection of the Winston Churchill Avenue with Charles Sumner. Just below the traffic light A hole has been formed from the wide road, the depth of which allows us to observe the earth filling.
Many drivers who use the elevated are surprised by the hole, which, although the diameter is not very wide, is about 8 inches deep. The vehicles impact damaging tires and the front axle.
Dangerous section
In the avenue Charles de Gaulle corner of Backaldo Idalia Street, and at the entrance of the Sirena store, part of the asphalt layer disappeared and almost three meters of the road is in caliche. Two filters lack covers and crashes frequently occur in the area when drivers reduce speed, sometimes abruptly when encountering the situation.

It has only been a year since the Ministry of Public Works paved the place, after the Mayor’s Office evicted families who occupy the sidewalks with small homes.
The president of the neighborhood association of the sector, Elias Acostareported that they have done efforts such as visits and delivery of letters Ministry of Public Works to correct the situation and, allegedly, an engineer from the Vice Ministry of Road Maintenance was assigned, they agreed to go, but they have not done so.

Just like these roads, there are others with large vehicular traffic that are in bad conditions and that represent danger to drivers.
