Santo Domingo. – The vice president of the Republic and president of the Health Cabinet, Raquel Pena, held a meeting with the director of the National Health Service (SNS), Dr. Julio Landrónwith representatives of the nursing unions, where the different points of demand in the sector were known.
During the meeting, the authorities listened to the proposals presented by the nursing organizations and decided to carry out a complete survey of the demandsas well as economic impact that its application would imply, with the aim of evaluating possible viable solutions.

The director of the SNS, Dr. Julio Landrón, reiterated the willingness to dialogue and working together with unions. “From the National Health Service we maintain the commitment to listen to the staff of nursing and to advance responsible solutions that allow them to strengthen their working conditions without affecting the sustainability of the system,” he expressed.
Likewise, he reported that in the coming days the authorities will maintain contact with the unions to continue the process of analysis of demands.
“There will be a technical and financial survey that allows each request to be evaluated and its economic impact, with a view to continuing to take concrete steps that contribute to meeting the demands of the sector,” concluded the head of the SNS.
