A multiple accident occurred on the morning of Thursday, February 12, at kilometer 122 of the Central Highway, near the Casapalca sector. Two cars, a truck and a semi-trailer were involved in the accident, which partially blocked the road.
According to the preliminary report, an ambulance that arrived at the scene confirmed the death of the truck driver. The other units suffered considerable material damage as a result of the strong impact.
Police officers and emergency personnel carry out the corresponding procedures to determine the causes of the accident and restore traffic in the area. The authorities recommended drivers to drive with caution, due to the conditions of the section and the vehicle load registered after the accident.
