The Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, recalled the historical significance of February 12, 1814, where Venezuelan youth were protagonists in the Battle of Victory, one of the transcendental feats in the history of Venezuela to achieve its independence.
Through a statement released through social networks, the sector vice president of Defense and Sovereignty said that that epic demands an exhaustive interpretation of the operational situation of that cycle, since the triumph represented the existential threshold prior to the emancipatory destiny.
He said that the tactical poise demonstrated by the youth, “grounded in a vast sovereign consciousness, acts as the main multiplier of institutional force.”
Padrino López indicated that in the current geopolitics of Venezuela, “this axiom governs as a backbone of the Comprehensive Defense of the Nation,” and indicated that like those seminarians of yesteryear, this present generation has heroes and heroines, “as well as those who offered their lives in the events that occurred on January 3 in defense of the homeland.
Finally, the Minister of Defense called to preserve “the inextinguishable flame of Venezuelan honor.”
