The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) predicted weak and passing rains for today, with gusts of wind over the towns of Puerto Plata, Espaillat, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, Samaná, San Pedro de Macorís, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Romana, La Altagracia, San Cristóbal, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega and Santo Domingo.
The weather forecasting organization indicated in its latest report that precipitation will be present from the morning and that it will be caused by the moderate wind from the east/northeast.
Low temperatures
Indomet predicts that temperatures will remain low in much of the national territory, due to winter and the influence of the moderate to strong wind from the north/northeast,
He added that these conditions will be more present in the country’s mountain systems, mountains and valleys, where occasional fog events could also occur.
On the Atlantic Coast, Meteorology recommends that operators of fragile, small and medium-sized vessels remain in port, due to dangerous waves from Manzanillo Bay, in Montecristi, to Cabo San Rafael, in La Altagracia. While in the Caribbean, from Isla Beata, Pedernales, to Barahona beach.
