The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, highlighted the importance of February 12 for patriotic Venezuelans, the date on which Youth Day is celebrated in honor of the heroes of the Battle of Victory.
During his Con el Mazo Dando program number 561, Cabello highlighted the commitment of the revolutionary youth to the country. “February 12 is a milestone for us.”
For the general secretary of the red awning, the essence of those fighters from the independence era remains alive in those who today defend the ideals of the Bolivarian Revolution.
“When a group of young people went to La Victoria, led by a great José Félix Ribas and from there they gave an example to the world of the bravery and dedication of young people against an army that believed itself to be superior and those young people are here today (…) The Bolivarian youth, the youth that loves our country, revolutionary, socialist, anti-imperialist and that today more than ever is totally and absolutely Chavista,” he stated.
He highlighted that this activity will be one of the largest marches that the Bolivarian youth has carried out in the city of Caracas.
Cabello detailed this Monday during the party’s press conference that the rally will also serve to remind the world of what this town is made of. “We are going to show them that we are real, made of flesh and blood; that we exist,” he said.
He indicated that this commemoration for Youth Day will close with a great concert in La Victoria, Aragua state. “We will be with the young people in this concert for peace,” he said, highlighting that the tranquility and peace of the people are the way to continue moving forward.
