The match between Inter Miami and Independiente del Valle Ecuadorian, which was going to be played this Friday in Puerto Rico, was postponed to February 26 due to an injury to the Argentine star Lionel Messi.
Messi himself explained in an Instagram story, published by Inter Miami, that in the last match in Ecuador it ended “with a nuisance.”
“Together with the people from the organization, the club decided to suspend this match (…) Thank you for your love because I know that all the tickets were sold,” wrote Leo addressing his fans in Puerto Rico.
Messi did not participate in training this Wednesday due to a muscle strain in his left hamstring suffered on Saturday during the match against Barcelona SC in Ecuador and his return to training will depend on his recovery in the coming days.

For its part, the VRDG Entertainment Group, in charge of the production of the Puerto Rico event, indicated that it is a “unfortunate news” what is “out of everyone’s control.”
