President Alberto Fernández announced on Friday the creation of “a stabilization fund” to combat rising prices and summoned all sectors productive and popular economy to achieve agreements that allow “fight against inflation and protect the table of the Argentines”
Through a recorded speech from the Quinta de Olivos, the president stressed that lwar between Russia and Ukraine It caused an increase in the prices of raw materials, and “this clearly affects us and adds to the many problems that we already have and that we are all aware of.”
“It would be absurd to blame the war for our inflation. But hethe truth is that it is having a negative impact and causing bigger problems,” Fernandez said.

Furthermore, he added, “I have instructed my ministers to take the necessary measures and they will be in charge of communicating them starting tomorrow”.

The ministers “will be in charge of keep them informed daily on the measures that will be implemented from this very moment. We are in an extraordinary situation that requires extraordinary solutions”, he underlined.
Fernández advanced: “From this Monday I will convene the representatives of the productive sectors, businessmen, formal workers and the popular economy, representatives of the countryside and commerce, small and medium-sized enterprises and civil society to a table of agreement that allows us to design a tomorrow in the fight against inflation”.
“We hope to find agreements that help lower inflation already ensure increased purchasing power wages,” said the president, but also warned: “We are not going to stop controlling and inspecting prices, apply the law of supply if necessary and use all the instruments available to the State to meet the objective of controlling prices.
