PRM will celebrate its eleventh anniversary on Sunday

Santo Domingo.-The Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) will commemorate this Sunday, February 15, the 11 years of its founding, with a great national event that will be held at the Gran Arena del Cibao, in the city of Santiago, starting at 9:00 in the morning.

The event will have the central speech of President Luis Abinader, and will also have the participation of the president of the PRM, José Ignacio Paliza, and the general secretary, Carolina Mejía.

The members of the Executive Directorate, leaders and militants of the party at the provincial, municipal and grassroots levels have been invited to the activity.

The meeting is described as a meeting of unity, motivation and celebration of the achievements achieved since the founding of the organization in 2014.

The PRM plays a stellar role in democracy, institutional development, as well as the growth and economic stability of the country, reaffirming its principles and its commitment to militancy and Dominican society in this second period of President Luis Abinader’s government.

The PRM leadership highlighted that the party has reinforced its structures and membership processes, and has called on its members to participate in a day that promotes internal cohesion and the reaffirmation of its political project in the Dominican Republic.

Internal process
This year, the PRM enters the process of choosing its internal authorities and choosing its presidential candidate for 2028.

There is a sector that pushes for the presidency to be assumed by President Abinader.
Starting in July, aspirations are also opened to elect, starting in October, who could be the presidential candidate for the 2028 elections, deposited by the population in that political organization.

Among the pre-candidates are David Collado, Minister of Tourism; Vice President Raquel Peña; the mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejía; and Eduardo Sanz Lovatón (Yayo), director of Customs, and other leaders.

Preference

— According to Paliza
The president of the PRM, José Ignacio Paliza, stated that this political organization remains in a privileged position in the sympathy of the electorate, while the opposition is going through a complex and difficult moment.
