Light rains are expected to occur in at least nine provinces, due to the incidence of a wind that will range from moderate to strong from the north/northeast and a trough at altitude, reported the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).
The rains will be accompanied by gusts of wind in Santiago, Montecristi, Puerto Plata, Espaillat, Mirabal Sisters, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, La Vega and Monsignor Nouel.
Indomet pointed out that, at night, said rainfall will gradually decrease, although some will remain. light rains and isolated in the coastal area of the north of the country.

Regarding temperatures, the meteorological forecast entity reported that they will continue to be cool and pleasant in a large part of the national territory, due to the incidence of winter and the influence of the north/northeast wind.
In relation to maritime conditions, the entity recommended that operators of fragile, small and medium-sized vessels remain in port on the Atlantic coast, due to dangerous waves from Manzanillo Bay (Montecristi), to Cabo San Rafael (La Altagracia).
Likewise, he urged bathers to take precautions, follow the rules of the beach flags and stay on land. In that sense, it recommended that vessels from the Caribbean coast from Isla Beata (Pedernales) to Barahona Beach (Barahona) remain in port.
