The Emergency Operations Committee (COE) Nacional, in a permanent session on Thursday, March 17, 2022, unanimously by the full members, resolved:
The Carnival holiday did not represent an increase in infections of COVID-19in the country.
Therefore, the COE decided to nullify the previous resolutions that contain restrictive measures referring to the capacity on open and closed spacesboth in public service events, and in economic, commercial, cultural, recreational, sports activities and massive public events, so that all these activities can be carried out with 100% of capacity permitted.
This includes national and international sporting events in what refers to the competences of the National Risk Management Service and the general police administrations.
Provide interprovincial, intraprovincial and tourist transport operators at the national level to maintain the capacity in public transport that guarantees service with only seated passengers.
In addition, urge the Autonomous Decentralized Cantonal Governments, based on their powers, to eliminate any restrictive measure regarding the capacity on open and closed spacesboth in public service events, economic, commercial, cultural, recreational, sports activities and massive public events.
Bars and discotheques
It is exhorted to open with 100% capacity in activities such as bars, nightclubs, karaoke bars, restaurants and any national and international sports competition. In the same way, it is exhorted to maintain the capacity and control in cantonal public transport (service only seated).
And the mask?
All biosafety measures remain in force, such as the permanent use of face maskhand hygiene, adequate ventilation and social distancing.
Maintain the presentation certificate or vaccination card with a complete schedule (two doses or one dose, as appropriate), for admission to places of attention to the public for any person over 12 years of age.
The mandatory submission of certificate applies exclusively to non-essential activities, exempting those dedicated to health, education, work and public services.
