He Santo Domingo Metroconsidered the faster and more efficient transportation of the province, has suffered at least seven failures in the last four monthsleaving thousands of users stranded that depend on this public service.
In November 2025for consecutive days (10 and 11), they presented internal electrical faults in the section between the stations Mama Tingó and Gregorio Urbano Gilbert (before Pena Gomez), belonging to the Line 1.
That same month, on the day 19the service was stopped in the morning due to a fault in the shift system from the station María Montez (Line 2). During the afternoon of that same day, the transport was interrupted again and the passengers had to be evacuated in a section of the Line 1in Villa Mella.

Meanwhile, the December 9 a was presented door system problem at the station Pedro Livio Cedeño (Line 1)while the January 2 a was recorded new technical failure in it northern section of the same line.
Likewise, the past Thursday February 5the service of the Line 2 suffered a technical failure on a train between the seasons Trina de Moya and Bona Conceptionleaving stranded passengers who were on board.
