The opponent Juan Pablo Guanipa spoke with Maria Corina Machadocoordinator of Sell Venezuelaafter he was released from prison on February 8.

The leader of Primero Justicia appeared in a video to talk about the expectations he has now that he is free again.
“Here we are, being released, after a year and a half, 10 months in hiding, almost nine months here in detention. Today we are being released, a lot to talk about, about the present and the future of Venezuela, always with the truth ahead”he stated.
The Guanipa-Machado alliance
After the disqualification of the former deputy, Guanipa was one of the voices within the traditional parties (“G4”) that most strongly defended the mandate that she obtained in the October 2023 primaries. Unlike other sectors of the opposition that were quickly looking for substitutes, Guanipa advocated respecting Machado’s leadership as the great candidate of the process.
Furthermore, during the presidential campaign of Edmundo González Urrutia, Guanipa became a fundamental piece in the streets, since he accompanied the opponents in several events and also had to challenge mobility restrictions in different parts of the country.
After the presidential elections, both have been promoters of the validity of the vote count reports published by the opposition, maintaining a unified discourse before the international community.
